Alice Mae McClure

Alice Mae McClure, 98, of Houston, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 12, 2022.

She was born January 28, 1924, in Chartiers Township, a daughter of the late Walter and Alice Stenger Fee.

Alice was a graduate of Chartiers High School and was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Houston.

During World War II, she was a bookkeeper in West Mifflin.

She enjoyed listening to the Pittsburgh Pirate broadcasts.

On January 27, 1945, she married Walter Boyd McClure, who died March 10, 1987.

She is survived by a sister, Mary Jane Woodhouse (Wallace) of Eighty Four; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are a sister, Betty Jean Fee; and three brothers, James, Donald and Walter “Lefty” Fee.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, November 17, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
