Irene “Nene” Gilpin, 77, of Washington, died Thursday, November 24, 2022, in The Grove at Washington.
She was born August 1, 1945, in Washington, a daughter of the late John Stankowski, and Irene Rockovich.
Irene was a homemaker.
On September 28, 1961, she married Philip M. Gilpin, who died November 3, 2021.
Surviving are two sons, Philip Gilpin, of Canonsburg and Raymond Gilpin, of Burgettstown; daughters, Susan Doak, of Washington and Dawn Keigley, of Evansville, Ind.; a brother, Butch Stankowski, of Florida; a sister, Vicki Smith (David), of Canonsburg; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Irene was preceded in death by a daughter, Robbin Craig; a brother, John Stankowski; and sister, Patricia Gilbert.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where the service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2022.
Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Gardens.
