Dennis R. Doriguzzi, 78, of Fredericktown, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Thursday, September 29, 2022 in Jefferson Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born April 12, 1944 in Brownsville, a son of the late Leno and Mae Burns Doriguzzi.

Dennis was a 1962 graduate of Beth Center High School and had been employed by Consol Energy as a prep plant foreman for many years before retiring in 2009.

He joined the East Beth Volunteer Fire Department in July of 1962, serving 60 years of dedicated service. He was chief for 12 years, a first responder, scuba diver, PA State Fire School instructor and pyro-technician (fireworks) for many years.

On May 9, 1970 he married his “best friend” Marge Sepesy Doriguzzi who survives. They shared 52 beautiful years of marriage.

Dennis loved summer and spending many memorable years in Ocean City, MD with family and friends.

He was a great father and grandfather to his children, Traci Gerber (Dave), Tyffani Doriguzzi and Michael Doriguzzi (Dina); to his grandchildren, Corey, Bailey, Cameron and D.J. (Makayla) Gerber, Mataya Doriguzzi, Nicholas and Frankie Pryor. Also surviving are great- grandson Kaiden Gerber; sister, Lucille Angelo; brother, Bill Doriguzzi (Debra); brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Lynda Sepesy; many special nieces and nephews. Dennis will be truly missed by many.

Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the Greenlee’s Fredericktown Funeral Home, Ltd., 42 Bank St. at Crawford Road. Fredericktown, PA where a Prayer Service will be held Monday, October 3, 2022 at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:45 in the St. Marcellus Roman Catholic Church in Jefferson, PA with Fr. Francis Frazer officiating. Entombment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park.
