Constance M. Polen
Constance “Connie” M. Polen, 79, of Washington, died Saturday, September 24, 2022, in the Greenery, Canonsburg.
She was born March 5, 1943, in Kenbridge, Va., a daughter of the late Woodrow Lucy Biggs, Sr. and Jessie Louise Abernath.
Connie was a homemaker, always taking care of her house and family. She loved gardening, reading, and puzzles.
On March 2, 1963, Connie married Dennis Edward Polen, who died February 2, 2016.
Preceding her in death were a daughter-in-law, Patricia Polen, who was Denis’s wife; and three brothers, Woodrow Biggs Lucy, Jr., James M. Lucy, and John C. Lucy.
Surviving are a son, Denis (Barb) E. Polen of Bloomsburg; a daughter, Mary L. Paradis of Connecticut; a brother, Alfred Lucy of Illinois; a sister, Florence E. Jochamn of Virginia; four grandchildren, Joshua Paradis, Kylee Sage Paradis, Alexandria Rose Polen, and Aaron Edward Polen; as well as a great-grandchild, Ethan.
Friends and family will gather from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the time of service, Friday, October 7, in William G. Neal Funeral Home. Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens.
