Debra Lynn Moriarty
Debra Lynn Moriarty, 68, of Washington, died on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in Washington Hospital.
She was born on August 25, 1954, in Washington, a daughter of Paul Baumgardner, of Washington, and the late Helen Kelly Baumgardener. Debra was a graduate of McGuffey High School.
Mrs. Moriarty retired from Ferro Corporation (Drakenfeld), following 29 years of working in the accounts payable department.
A master gardener, Debra was the two-time winner of the Washington County Beautification Award for her incredible garden.
She loved going riding with her husband, Buck, on their Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and she enjoyed crafting.
A kind, generous, compassionate soul, Debra gave to anyone in need.
Debra loved her pet Beagles, Judas and Sally.
On September 29, 1990, she married Byron G. “Buck” Moriarty, who survives. Also surviving is a son, Jason J. (Kris) Whipkey, of Washington; her sister, Kim (Bill) Alderson; a step-grandchild, Sierra (Teddy) Roberts; a step-great-grandchild, Rhiannon Roberts; and her brother-in-law, Rodney Maze; a nephew, Rod; and a niece, Jenny.
Deceased are two siblings, Judy (Joey) Oliverio, and Pam Maze.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public services.
