John W. Rodenski
John W. “Ski” Rodenski, 82, of Houston, formerly of Washington, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2022 in his home.
He was born November 5, 1939 in Canonsburg, a son of the late John and Anna Mosier Rodenski.
Mr. Rodenski was a graduate of Washington High School. He then enlisted in the United States Navy where he served for three years before being honorably discharged. Mr. Rodenski later became employed by Jessop Steel where he worked for over 30 years until the time of his retirement.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church in Washington and was very proud of his Polish Heritage. Mr. Rodenski was a member of the Pulaski Club, the Polish Club, Washington Elks Lodge # 776 and the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post # 175.
He enjoyed woodworking and golfing. Mr. Rodenski was a member of several golf leagues and was the Founder and C.E.O. of “Ski’s Morning Woodshop”. He loved to dance the Polka and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
On June 6, 1963 he married the late Patricia A. Nuccetelli. Surviving are two daughters, Lori Carson of Louisville, Ky. and Sheri (Aaron) Morris of Houston; a son, James (Vickie) Rodenski of Hickory; and six grandchildren, Erika, Victor, Bailey, Linden, Hawthorn and Easton.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Rodenski was preceded in death by a sister, Marlene.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, Holly Renay Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director. A Blessing Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, in the funeral home with Father Mark Swoger officiating. Interment will be private.
