Henry R. Truax
Henry R. Truax “Bob”, 94, of Langeloth, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022.
He was born in Weirton, W.Va., on December 17, 1927, son of the late Alvin and Winifred Truax.
On June 30, 1951 he married Serafina Campa Truax. They spent 64 loving years together before her passing in 2015.
Henry was a superintendent / foreman for the Weirton Steel Coke Plant for 38 years before retiring.
He was a member of the Masons for over 50 years. He was an avid bowler, hunter and card player, and he loved his Pittsburgh sports teams. Above all, he absolutely adored his family. Henry was a gentle giant who was loving and had a heart of gold.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by daughter, Bobbi Jo Bywaters; brother, Bill Truax; sister, Lucille Harless; two sons-in-law, Guy Grater and Gary Bywaters; two nephews; and one niece.
He is survived by children: Connie Delong (Joe), Glenn Truax (Loueva), Cindy Grater and Karen Orr (Paul); grandchildren, Gatha Pensis Clevenger, Serafina Pensis Strope, Robert Leskovich, Alex Truax, Kristen Grater Donohue, Brandon Orr, Brittany Orr Double, Amy Orr and Andrew Truax; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who loved uncle Bob.
