Marion Allebach Shipe
Marion Allebach Shipe, 97, of Venetia went peacefully to be with the Lord on September 24, 2022, in her home at The Villages in Florida.
Funeral services will be a small family gathering at a time TBD. Burial of her ashes will follow at Forest Lawn Garden in McMurray, Pa.
Marion, known as Myrna to her friends, was born in Bedford, a daughter of the late Martha and Harold Allebach on October 12, 1925.
She was a graduate of Mount Lebanon High School of PA. Myrna married Conard H. Shipe on August 30,1946 at the family’s home on Crystal Drive in Mount Lebanon.
Myrna was known to all who knew her as a lover of animals and a devout Christian. Sheparticularly loved her horses and German Shepherds. For many years Myrna and her husband were highly acclaimed breeders of championship GermanShepherds.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was also adevoted daughter who included her mother Martha, in nearly every family activity and holiday until her passing.
Myrna is preceded in death by her husband Conard (Connie); and two of her sons, Thomas A. and Rodney C. Shipe.
Myrna is survived by daughter-in-law Denise, David (Sharon), Douglas(Barbara), Jeffery, and Janice (Tony). She adored her many grandchildren, Danielle, Melissa, Michael, Kevin,Kelly, Aaron, Gregory, Jason, Steven, Brandon, Jordan, Kara, Brian,Christopher, Thomas, Madelyne and Emily. Myrna is also survived by 46 great-grandchildren.
A special mention of her devoted live-in caregiver of many years, Martha Palencia. Martha provided loving and competent around the clock care inMyrna’s final years.
The whole family is blessed to know with certainty that our mother is in heaven with the Lord, her mother, husband and two sons.
