Harold Clarence Campbell, 84, of Mount Morris, died on Thursday, September 1, 2022, and is “absent from this body, and present with the Lord!”(II Corinthians 5:8)

He was born in Cumberland, Md., on April 5, 1938, to the late Clyde and Bernice Fetty Campbell.

Harold worked many jobs through the years. At 11 years old he began logging with his dad, had his own green house, had an autobody shop, worked for Holbert Brothers Tire Shop, the H.B. Garrison Lumber Yard and retired from Carnegie Natural Gas Company after 22 years of service.

He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior on September 18, 1955. He was a member of Fox Chapel Church with Pastor Robert Fox for many years and attended Peoples Baptist Church with Pastor Matthew Murray until this past Wednesday evening. Harold loved hit and miss engines, festivals and antique tools. He was born 200 years too late.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Ellen Elaine Foley Campbell; his daughter, Valerie Jane Campbell Sisler and husband, Rick of Independence, W.Va.; his step-grandchildren: Richie and wife, Emily, Justin and girlfriend, Quinn; and a step great-grandson: Mason. His almost (just lacking blood) grandchildren: Ashley Forlines and husband, Gray, Charla Miller and husband, Garrett and Ciara Litton and husband, Brayden; and great-grandchildren: Maxwell, Samuel, Benjamin, Alaya, Buck and Noodle. Also surviving is a brother-in-law, Marvin Lemley; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and Jesus, Harold was greeted in Heaven by his mother-in-law, Genevieve Foley; his father-in-law, Clyde Foley; his sisters, Sandra and Carol; his brothers-in-law, Harold and Doug; his nephew, Shawn; his sister-in-law, Naomi; his cousins, Rob and Robbie Westwood; and extended family, Pam and Mike.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 5, 2022, in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, Owner / Director, 324 Mt. Morris Road, P.O. Box 478, Mount Morris, PA 15349, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery, Pentress, W.Va.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to your favorite church or charity.
