Helen P. Johnson
Helen P. Johnson, 88, of Washington, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 30, 2022, in her home. She was born March 10, 1934, in Washington, a daughter of the late Alexander and Elenor Pinnick Frazier.
Mrs. Johnson was a graduate of Washington High School and was a member of Wright Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church in Washington.
She was a homemaker and a member of S.A.C. (Senior Action Committee).
Mrs. Johnson enjoyed watching old Westerns on television. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the time spent playing with her great-grandsons. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
On November 21, 1953, she married the late William Johnson.
Surviving are a son, William (Eric) Johnson Jr. of Washington, D.C.; a daughter, Karen Barclay of Washington; two grandchildren, Brandi Barclay and Paige Barclay; three great-grandchildren, Takari Barclay, Tramayne Barclay and Myles Evans. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by two brothers, Stewart and Alexander Frazier; and by a son-in-law, Payton Barclay.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor / owner, Holly Renay Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director, Park N. Crosier, director. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
