Michael L. Murphy, 74, of Clarksville, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at the Washington Hospital, Washington. He was born June 16, 1948, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Patrick and E. Frances Armstrong Murphy.

Mr. Murphy resided in Clarksville for the past 44 years and retired from Mesa Wood, Washington. He was a past president of the Clarksville Lions Club and enjoyed collecting stamps and coins.

On August 26, 1978, he married Audrey Watson, who survives. The couple raised Taylor Lyn Eddy who now resides in Washington.

Surviving are two sisters, Peggy Simmons (Bob) of Jefferson and Patty Martin (Ken) of Corry; a step-son, George Lewis of Clearwater, Fla.; two step daughters, Chris Lawson (Mike) and Audrey Lewis, both of Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no public viewing or memorial service. Arrangements are entrusted to the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, Carmichaels.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Clarksville Lions Club.
