Edward J. Kantor, 82, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022, at home. He was born July 27, 1940, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Dr Louis and Sayde R. Kantor.

He is survived by his brothers, Falk of Shaler Township and Dr. Philip of Canonsburg.

Ed was a graduate of Canonsburg High School.

He was an Air Force veteran, serving as a radio / radar repairman. His service included wintertime duty at a remote location on Cape Cod.

Ed worked as a customer service representative for IBM and in computer systems for Weirton Steel before retiring from ACS Computers as an account manager.

Ed was active in general aviation as a pilot and aircraft owner. He was a founding member of the aircraft owners association, at Finleyville Air Park, where he served for many years as an officer of the association.

In addition to his brothers, Ed is survived by his former sister-in-law and special friend, Dorothy Kantor of Canonsburg; nephew, Louis Kantor of Charlotte, N.C.; and niece, Elizabeth White of Canonsburg, who cared for him deeply.

A special thank you to the Visiting Angels of Canonsburg for their compassionate care which brought Ed great comfort.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022, at the Beth Shalom Cemetery in Pittsburgh, with Rabbi Eli Seidman officiating.
