Sally Marie Romano, 90, of Washington, passed away peacefully Monday, September 12, 2022, in Strabane Woods of Washington. She was born December 2, 1931, in Washington, a daughter of the late John and Pearl Sieracki Dubelle.

Mrs. Romano was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the Holy Trinity National Catholic Church in Washington. She was a 1949 graduate of Trinity High School. Sally was a majorette at Trinity and she married her high school sweetheart, Jo Jo, who was the star quarterback at Trinity. Jo Jo passed away in February of 2020. The couple had been married for 68 years.

Surviving are a son, John Romano of Washington; a daughter, Nancy (Kenny) Jozwick of Washington; and four grandchildren, Julie Cruz, Joleen Romano, Joseph Romano and Janine Romano.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Romano was preceded in death by two grandsons, Erik Jozwick and Jeffrey Romano; and a brother, John “Herky” Dubelle.

The family would like to thank all of the nurses and nurse’s aides at Strabane Woods for taking such good care of Sally throughout her time there.
