Sheldon Keeney
Sheldon “Sonny” Keeney, 80, of Washington, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022. He was born January 31, 1942, in Washington, a son of Sheldon and Florence Barrows Keeney.
In 1959, he married Ruby Keenan, who survives.
Mr. Keeney was an iron worker with Local 3 Pittsburgh until he retired. During his early years, he played guitar with local bands in the Washington Area.
In addition to his wife, Ruby, Sonny is also survived by his three children, Debra Keeney, Richard “Brad” Keeney and Preston Keeney, all of Washington; one granddaughter, Stephanie (JC) Senay of Washington; two great-granddaughters, Olivia and McKenna Senay of Washington; a sister, Delilah Anderson of Orlando, Fla.; two nieces and three nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the time of a memorial service, Friday, September 23, in Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.
