Mark Anthony Leichty
Mark Anthony Leichty, 66, of Houston, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born August 9, 1956, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Roy and Freda Bowser Leichty. Mark lived his life in the Canonsburg / Houston area, was Methodist by faith, and was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.
After graduation he became a highly skilled carpenter, working with his family, building many homes all over the area for 35 years. He was a member of the Carpenters Union 432, where he became a superintendent of many high-profile jobs. Mr. Leichty enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, they would often visit the park to have picnics and spend time together. He also enjoyed the times he spent with his sister, Joyce, taking many trips to the mountains and the beach.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his three beloved children: Shane (Ashley) Leichty, Nathan (Leah) Leichty and Cody Leichty; four grandchildren: Olivia, Cole, Freya and Waverly Leichty; and his sister, Joyce Gregg of Eighty-Four; his former wife, Doreen Leichty, whom he had been married to for 32 years; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are four brothers: Roy, Dale, David and Ricky Leichty; and his sister, Bonnie Reese.
Friends and family are welcome from 3 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner / supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2022. Interment will be private.
