It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bjorg G. Beitler, of Washington, who passed away peacefully, in her sleep, Sunday, September 25, 2022, at the age of 80.

Bjorg was born in Gol, Norway March 19, 1942, a daughter of the late Kolbjorn and Barbro Viko Gislerud.

She graduated from Oslo Handelsgym with a degree in business management and worked as an airline stewardess for U.S. Airways.

Bjorg is survived by and will be missed by her beloved husband, William J. Beitler; three sons, William A. (Cathi) Beitler, Quentin Beitler and Richard (Sarah) Beitler; eight grandchildren, William, Emily, John, Quinn, Riley, Max, Joshua and Matthew Beitler; two sisters, Liv and Gunhild; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray (724-941-3211). At the request of her family, the funeral service and interment Thursday, September 29 will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations, in memory of Bjorg, may be made to one’s favorite charity.
