Howard Leech Livezey
Howard Leech Livezey, 89, of Washington, passed away peacefully Monday, April 3, 2023, in Washington Hospital.
He was born April 23, 1933, in North Strabane Township, a son of the late Howard and Naomi Leech Livezey.
Mr. Livezey was Presbyterian by faith.
He enjoyed playing golf, working outdoors in his yard, and was an avid automotive enthusiast.
He was a member Rotary International.
A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the United States Army.
On April 7, 1962, Howard married Shirley Eicholtz, who preceded him in death January 22, 2020.
Surviving are his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Dorothy Pavloff of West Mifflin, Kathryn Madzy of Washington, and Charlie and Cindy Eicholtz of Dalton, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 6, in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 1290 Jefferson Avenue, Washington, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 7, by the Rev. Charles F. Eicholtz. Interment will follow at 11 a.m. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, where military honors will be accorded by the United States Army and the American Legion Post #175 Honor Guard.
