Ronald A. Dolata, 70, of Eighty Four, died Monday, April 3, 2023, in his home, surrounded by family.

He was born August 27, 1952 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late John R. and Florence M. Eckert Dolata.

Ron was a 1970 graduate of South Hills High School, Pittsburgh, and went on to work as a welder for Bechtel Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, from where he retired after 45 years.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, kayaking, working on cars and was a NASCAR fan.

On July 1, 1972 he married Martha A. Smoljanovich. Mrs. Dolata survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Belinda M. Dalton of Morgantown, W.Va.; and a grandson, Timothy J. Dalton.

Deceased is a brother, Ralph J. Dolata.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m., in the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington on Friday, April 7, 2023, the hour of the memorial service, with Pastor Fran Skariot officiating. All other services were private.
