Ruby Jean Bable
Ruby Jean Bable, 88, of Bulger, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023, in her home.
She was born on December 10, 1934, a daughter of the late Burman Matt and Bertha Carolina Belk Burton.
Ruby attended Brownsville High School, and graduated from God’s Bible School, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She was a member of McDonald Bible Methodist Church.
Mrs. Bable taught Sunday school, provided elder and childcare, and was a companion aide.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, painting and gardening.
On May 8, 1954, she married the love of her life, George Theodore Bable, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, George Theodore (Vie) Bable, Jr.; three daughters, Sherri Lynn (Thomas) West, Lori Bable and Linda Bable; 10 grandchildren, Tommy, Josh, Cristiana, Jordan, Teddy. Heidi, Brandon, Brooke, Derick and Nicole; many great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Eddie Bable; and a sister-in-law, Delores Bable.
Deceased are three brothers, Sherman, Cecil and Russell Burton; and three sisters, Ruth Small, Sue Jones and Betty Galley.
Friends and family are welcome from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2023, with Pastor Randy Brown officiating.
Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
