Sheila Elaine Weaver Burgard died Monday, April 10, 2023, of natural causes, in Spring, Texas. She was born February 6, 1945, in Washington.
Sheila graduated from Chartiers Houston High School in 1963.
On July 13, 1963, she married the love of her life, Stephen Burgard, who survives.
Throughout their marriage they lived in various places, including: Long Island, N.Y.; Alameda, Calif.; Washington D.C.; Tallahassee, Fla.; Houston, Texas; Phoenix, Ariz.; Orlando, Fla.; and Tampa, Fla.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother, Robert Weaver; sister, Shirley Long; grandchildren, Stephen Richardson and Kayla Richardson along with their spouses; and great-grandchildren, Miles Richardson and Jordan Richardson.
She was preceded in death by sister, Sue Weaver Armstrong; and daughter, Sherri Burgard.
Sheila enjoyed traveling, especially if a beach was involved. Her favorite places included the Caribbean, Okinawa Japan, and Mexico. She loved all animals whether big or small and has many waiting for her at the Rainbow Bridge.
The family will be having a private viewing and asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to an animal rescue of one’s choice.
