Ray Simpson McAdoo
Ray Simpson McAdoo, 76, of Fayetteville, Ga., passed away, surrounded by family, Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Ray was born Tuesday, April 1, 1947, to Clifford Simpson McAdoo and Virginia Clark McAdoo in Wheeling, W.Va.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; his sisters, Beverly Campbell and Sharon Roby; son, Jed; daughter, Julie (Bryan) Parker; his grandchildren, Kate and Owen McAdoo, Alec and Beck Parker; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He faithfully served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War.
Ray retired after working for Northwest Airlines for 30 years, and after retiring from the airline, would craft flags for veterans, VFW’s, friends, and family members. He loved his country and his family.
There will be a memorial service for Ray at a later date at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made, in Ray’s memory, to West Alexander American Legion Auxiliary, P.O. Box 32, West Alexander, PA 15376.
