William Melvin Warrick

William Melvin Warrick, 84, of Burgettstown, Hanover Township, passed away Saturday evening, April 15, 2023, in Cambridge Assisted Living, Wampum.

He was born December 8, 1938, in Hanover Township, a son of the late William Melvin and Margaret Piece Warrick Emler.

Bill retired from Weirton Steel, where he was a truck driver and in retirement worked for the Hanover Township Road Department.

His wife, Anna Belle Ervin Warrick, whom he married October 9, 1959, in the Atlasburg Church of the Nazarene, preceded him in death May 24, 1995.

He is survived by his brother, Carl “Boots” Warrick (Veronica June) of Georgetown; and a half-sister, Mert Wolanski (the late Bob) of Bulger; his good friend, who was like the son he never had, Mike Fleming (Lorraine) of Bulger; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his parents and wife, are two brothers, Harley “Doc” Warrick and Jack Warrick (surviving wife Juanita); two sisters, Thelma Milocich (John) and Edith Coulter (surviving husband Bill); and a half-brother, Tom Emler (surviving wife Gladys).

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, in Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. of Burgettstown, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021, where prayers will be said at 6 p.m. to conclude visitation.
