Bernard Crumrine
Bernard “Bernie” Crumrine, 78, of Eighty Four, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, April 18, 2023 in his home.
He was born November 27, 1944, in Washington, a son of the late Bernard and Virginia Schrader Crumrine.
Mr. Crumrine was a proud veteran of the U.S Air Force.
Bernie was the owner of Foxwood Acres Golf Course, where he was most well-known. He was also employed as a Waterman for the Pigeon Creek Sanitary Authority in Bentleyville.
Bernie was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing, farming, the Pittsburgh Steelers and going to the Meadows Casino with his companion of 40 years, June Cecil, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Christine Thompson (Robert) of Canonsburg and Angie Crumrine (Yahveh Olivo) of Strabane; one granddaughter, Ella Thompson; and two brothers, Barry and Beau (Diane) Crumrine. Also surviving is the mother of his children, Rebecca Hoffman.
Deceased are a brother, William Crumrine; and two sisters, Ruthann Hampe and Judy White; and one nephew, Brian “B.J” Crumrine.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday April 21, 2023, in Greenlee’s Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, PA 15314.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Washington County Humane Society, 1527 PA-136, PO Box 66, Eighty Four, PA 15330. Interment will be private.
