Ethel Marie Klages
Ethel Marie Klages, 87, of Taylorstown, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023, in her home surrounded by family.
Ethel was born October 13, 1935, in Washington, the daughter of Walter P. Morris of Cleveland, Ohio, and Katherine McDonald Keener of Claysville.
Ethel was a graduate of Trinity High School, class of 1955.
On July 23, 1960, Ethel married Earl Leroy Klages of Taylorstown, who preceded her in death. Ethel was an Auxiliary member of the Taylorstown Legion Post 907 for 60 years where she played dart ball for 35 years. As well as a member of the Moose Lodge for many years.
Ethel enjoyed spending time with her sisters and nieces on their outings every Tuesday and trips to Atlantic City. She enjoyed country music and loved to kick off her shoes and dance. Ethel also enjoyed watching the Steelers.
Ethel was a dedicated stay-at-home mother and later employed as a cook for several years.
Surviving are children Debra Scott of Wheeling, W.Va., William Klages (Stacey) of West Alexander, Charlotte Morgan of Taylorstown, Karen and husband, Stephen Knotts of Norfolk, Va., and Bruce Klages (Lisa) of Washington. Also surviving are sisters, Katy Walton of Claysville, Wanda Lou Roush and Darlene May of Cleveland, Ohio and Robin Dery of Crossville, Tenn.; brothers, Dwayne Morris and John Morris of Cleveland, Ohio; and brother-in-law, Vernon Kiskadden of Washington. Also surviving are sister-in-law, Nancy Wilhelm of West Alexander; 15 grandchildren, many great and great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are son, Earl Leroy Klages Jr. and a son at birth; sisters, Patricia Kiskadden and Joyce Harrison; brothers, Walter Morris Jr., Donald Morris and Edward Morris; also deceased are sons-in-law, Chuck Scott and Randy L. Morgan.
She will be sadly missed by all whose hearts she touched.
