Ronald Dunbar
Ronald Dunbar, 77, of Finleyville, died Saturday, August 12, 2023, in AHN Jefferson Hospital.
He was born June 4, 1946, in McKeesport, a son of the late Paul and Stella Ruffing Dunbar.
Ron was retired from US Steel, where he worked as a draftsman engineer. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, and was a member of the Elrama Community Church, American Legion Post 613 and Loyal Order of the Moose 172, both in Finleyville, and enjoyed flowers and gardening.
Surviving are one step-daughter Tami (Joseph) Bradley of Claysville; three grandchildren: Kelsey, Joseph and Ashley; three great-grandchildren: Joseph, Elliot and Beau; one sister, Marlene (Tom) Wardle of New Eagle; brother-in-law, Richard Meehleib of Charleston W.Va.; several nieces and nephews; and his “special friend”, Karen Kaufman.
Deceased are his wife, Brenda Lytle Dunbar; and sister, Linda Meehleib.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., David P. Kegel, Supervisor 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, in the funeral home, with interment following in Monongahela Cemetery.
