Terry Lee Bowman
Terry Lee Bowman, 77, of Washington, Chartiers Township, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 22, 2023, in Washington Hospital, following a brief illness, with his three favorite ladies by his side.
He was born October 26, 1945, in Topeka, Kan., a son of the late Richard Clark and Della June Atkinson Bowman.
Terry was a graduate of Vineland High School and proudly earned a B.A. in Journalism from Glassboro State College, now Rowen University.
He was a United States Army veteran serving in Frankfurt and Berlin, Germany.
Prior to his retirement, Terry was employed as comptroller with the former TECHNEGLAS located in Columbus, Ohio.
Terry was an avid golfer enjoying rounds with his group, the Round Bellies, painting in oil and acrylic, Star Wars and his Play station 4. He enjoyed traveling, with his favorite destination being Alaska.
Terry was an animal lover and will be missed by his two cats, Amber and Ashleigh.
On April 14, 1968, he married Linda Susan Cumpston, who survives after 55 years of marriage.
Also left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved daughter, Jennifer Joyce Bowman of Noblesville, Ind.; his granddaughter, Ariane Sydney Colarusso (David Polak) of Pittsburgh; his daughter-in-law, Jennifer Naugle Bowman of Shermans Dale; and his sister, Sandra Darlene Bowman of Vineland, N.J. Terry is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law as well as nieces and nephews.
Deceased is his son, Christopher S. Bowman, who passed away October 27, 2022.
Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, August 25, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner / supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg (724-745-8120). Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023, with full military honors.
