Nancy D. Casacchia
Nancy D. Casacchia of North Strabane Township passed away peacefully Monday, January 30, 2023, in McMurray Hills Manor, Peters Township.
Mrs. Casacchia was born, and lived her entire life, in Canonsburg.
She was the daughter of the late Frank and Carmella Parrino DiVincenzo and had been married to her husband, the late Nicholas Casacchia.
A graduate of Canonsburg High School, Nancy was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and Guild.
Prior to her retirement she had been employed in the Department of Welfare at the former Western Center. Mrs. Casacchia was a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees.
Left behind to cherish her memory are: her two sons, Joseph Casacchia and his wife, Alleta, of Greensboro, N.C. and Nicholas Casacchia, of Imperial; her daughter, Carma Ann Haas and her husband, Joseph, of New Platz, New York; two grandchildren, Nicholas Casacchia of Greensboro and Meredith Casacchia, of Ashville N.C., a sister, Antoinette McLean, of McMurray; and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Joseph DiVincenzo, is deceased, along with a brother, Sam, who died in infancy.
Friends and family are welcome from 4 until 7 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023, in Salandra Funeral and Cremations Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner / supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where departing prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Oscar Romero Parish – St. Patrick Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
