Carole Jean Gostic
Carole Jean Gostic, 82, of Canonsburg, died Wednesday, February 15, 2023.
She was born October 2, 1940, in Canonsburg, a daughter of William and Bernice Hensel Davidson.
Mrs. Gostic was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Houston.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as a preschool teacher for Community Action South West.
Carole was an avid bowler. She is a member of the Washington County Hall of Fame, member and past director of the Washington County Bowling Association, and served as an official for the league. She was an avid Pirates and Steelers fan.
On September 1, 1960, she married her husband of over 62 years, John Joseph Gostic, Sr., who survives.
Also surviving are her sons, John Joseph Gostic, Jr. of Canonsburg, Brett (Heidi) Gostic of Ellwood City; daughters, Roberta “Robin” Gostic of Washington, Chylise (Damon Holmes) Gostic of Canonsburg; brother, William (Kathy) Davidson of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sister, Diane (Raymond) Gostic of Washington; three grandchildren, Michael, Mary Kate and Dale; three great-grandchildren, Arya, Molly and Angela; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Gostic; sisters, Barbara Murdy and Audrey Davidson.
Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, February 18, in Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000.
Services and burial will take place on Monday, February 20, privately.
