Lois Funaiock Dittmer
Lois Funaiock Dittmer, 91, of Washington, formerly North Strabane Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 12, 2023.
She was the beloved wife of the late Henry W. Dittmer, Jr., for 66 years, and was the daughter of the late Catherine Marie “Babe” Schneider and Frederick H. Funaiock. She was also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Sarah (Norma) Funaiock and James K. Lynch.
She was the loving aunt of Keith (Betty) Lynch, Kelly (John) Henrichs, Kathleen (Wayne) Conn and Karen (Scott) Snyder; great-aunt of eight and great-great-aunt of two.
Lois was a long-time member of Zion Lutheran Church in Bridgeville.
She retired from Colt Industries/Crucible Steel after 41 years. Lois loved to travel and, after retirement, she volunteered with the local AARP chapter as their travel coordinator and newsletter publisher for several years.
Family and friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, 412-221-3333, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday. Interment to follow at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
