Lydia J. Lombardi

Lydia J. Lombardi, 100, of Houston, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 15, 2023, in South Hills Rehabilitation and Wellness in Canonsburg.

She was born November 4, 1922, in Lafferty, Ohio, a daughter of the late Carlo and Louise Magnani.

Mrs. Lombardi had worked at the former G.C. Murphy Co. in Washington.

Lydia was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish.

She enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and gardening.

On July 30, 1944, she married James Lombardi, who died November 1, 1999.

Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Boenning (Alan) of Houston; a son, James C. Lombardi Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M.; a grandson, Adam Boenning; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are a brother, Premo Magnani; and a sister, Laura Jackowski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, in Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish, 300 Pike Street, Meadow Lands, PA 15347. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342.
