William Gerald Altieri
William Gerald Altieri, 82, of Canonsburg, died Saturday, July 22, 2023.
He was born June 15, 1941, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Alvin and Anne Kraynak Altieri.
On August 8, 1964, he married the love of his life Joyce Horner of Sheridan who survives.
Mr. Altieri worked at The Pennsylvania Transformer and was also a Vietnam Veteran.
Also surviving are his daughters, Deborah (John) Lombardo of Canonsburg and Dianna (James) Ammon of Canonsburg; five grandchildren: Sam (Melissa) Lombardo of New York, Anna (Christopher) Kula of Ohio, Juliann (Rob) Murgie of Canonsburg, Chelsea (Seth) Becker of Canonsburg and Jacob Ammon of Canonsburg; three great-grandchildren, Gwen Lombardo of New York, Cooper Kula of Ohio and Francesca Murgie of Canonsburg; sister, Liz (Gene) Baumgarten of Bethel Park; and 13 nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Gerald (Susan), Alvin (Anne) Altieri and Linda Roth.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, at the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, in Holy Rosary Church, St. Oscar Romero Parish in Muse. Internment will follow in the St. Michael’s Byzantine Cemetery, Canonsburg.
