Leslie Albert Dolanch
Leslie Albert “Les” Dolanch, 73, of Eighty-Four, died Saturday, July 22, 2023, in the Veterans Hospital, Oakland.
He was born August 17, 1949, in Washington, a son of the late Albert T. and Hazel Belle Beam Dolanch.
A 1968 graduate of Trinity High School, he was a truck driver for Sysco Foods until his retirement.
Mr. Dolanch served in the United States Army infantry during the Vietnam War, until his honorable discharge, with the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of Bentleyville American Legion.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he loved his John Deere tractor and spending time outdoors.
His niece once said of Les and his family, “There is the right way, the wrong way, and the Dolanch way.” Truer words were never spoken!
Les loved his family, children, and grandchildren very much.
On July 13, 1974, he married Faye J. McDannell, who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Tami Dolanch Pscolka (Aaron) of Eighty-Four, and Heath D. Dolanch (Daltha) of Henderson, Nev.; brothers, David Dolanch (Lynn) of Washington, and Paul Dolanch (Dana) of Claysville; his grandchildren, Quin “Samara” Dolanch, Will “Wilhelmina” Dolanch, and Kaitlyn Pscolka. He was so proud of and loved all three of his granddaughters very much. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews; and his Yorkie, Willow, his little buddy.
Family and friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 27, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where the service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 28.
