Harry Joseph Elliott, Sr.
Harry Joseph “Joe” Elliott Sr., 73, of Speers, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023, in his home. A son of the late Robert P. and Sarah Madaline Bedillion Elliott, he was born in Washington October 10, 1949.
A resident of the Mon Valley since 1955, he was a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran serving near North Vietnam, Dong Ha.
Harry is survived by a daughter, Staci Jo Tedrow of Speers; a son, Harry Joseph Elliott, Jr. and his fiancee, Alaina Collins; of Speers; a sister, Ella Louise Ailes of California; four sisters- in-law, Marlene Elliott of West Newton, Vickie (Jerry) Jones of Washington, June Bird of Plymouth, Mich., Rebecca (Rich) Partozoti of Denver, Colo.; four grandchildren, Melissa (Ty) Marks, Matt Tedrow (Chea Salazar), Harry Joseph Elliott III, and Sophie Ann Elliott; and a great-grandson, Connor Marks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Melissa Ann Elliott, September 24, 2014; a great- granddaughter, Cora Mae Marks February 5, 2023; two sisters, Pearl Decker and Patricia Skolyak; and three brothers, Russell Bird, Robert Elliott and James Elliott.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 12, in Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon (724-929-5300).
