Patricia Rae Mancuso
Patricia Rae Mancuso, 82, of Washington, died March 4, 2023, in the Washington Hospital.
She was born April 7, 1940, in Charleroi, the daughter of the late Raymond Michael and Mary Elizabeth Garrison Pichard.
A graduate of California High School, class of 1958, and Point Park College earning an associate degree in Business, she worked in several capacities for the Washington Hospital for 32 years.
Patricia was a lifelong member of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, where her father was a Lay Minister.
Known for her twinkling eyes, she had a kind spirit and infectious smile.
She had the desire and spirit to serve with a steadfast commitment to her faith in the Lord. She organized prayer meetings and Bible study at the Washington Senior Center and Strabane Trails. She represented the Senior Center in several spelling bees and was always a top finisher. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, and volunteered at the City Mission, where she was named “Volunteer of the Year 2007.” Patricia played in several dartball leagues and was a cake decorator for many years. She loved to bring smiles to others with her creations.
Patricia was a loving and devoted grandmother and instilled great lessons and values in her grandchildren. She loved to boast about their great accomplishments.
Most recently, she lived at Strabane Trails, where she embraced her new community, making many friends. She loved participating in the social events and inspiring others.
On February 23, 1967, Patricia married Samuel Mancuso, Jr., who died October 5, 1993.
Surviving is a son, Dale (Susan) Mancuso; daughters, Marci (William Jr.) McAdoo, and Krisanne (Christopher) Millan Burgess; 10 grandchildren, Patrick (Amanda) Burgess, Benjamin Burgess, Shad Burgess, Brittany Burgess, Melinda (Judd) Wolf, William (Brittany) McAdoo III, Kyle (Megan Novak) McAdoo, Cole (Hailey Bedillion) McAdoo, Morgan Mancuso, and Ella Mancuso; 18 great-grandchildren, Heath, Mia, Elizabeth Burgess, Willow, Norah Jane, Benjamin II, Isabella, and Oliver Burgess, Emmett, Ella, Erra, Enniyah, Ettley, Einno Wolfe, Elaina and Jayce McAdoo, Riley Greaves, and Mallory McAdoo.
In addition to her husband, Samuel, Patricia was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank A. Millan, Jr. and great-grandchild, Hunter McAdoo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Benevolent Care Fund for Strabane Trails. Donations also may be made to the Washington Area Senior Citizen Center, 69 West Maiden Street, Washington, PA 15301, in her memory.
Family and friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.,Thursday, March 9, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A service officiated by Rev. Gary Irey, will be on Friday, March 10 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
Interment to follow in Washington Cemetery with Minister Donna Bussey Porter officiating.
