Robert A. Hull, 73, of Sycamore, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, after a brief illness.

Bob was born November 24, 1949, to the late Austin Hull, Jr. and the late Udoris Gaines Hull Turner.

He graduated from West Greene High School.

In 1968 he married Betty Jane Thomas Hull.

Bob worked at the Blacksville Mine 2 in Wana, W.Va., for approximately 30 years until his retirement. Not one to sit on his laurels, Bob went to work for his nephew at Bill Wise Excavation for another 15 years.

Bob enjoyed hunting and watching the Steelers and the Pens and old Western shows. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He was known to many as “Uncle Bob” and he was always willing to help others out.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Laura Jacobs (Mark) and Robert W. Hull (Jenny); grandchildren, Jessica Jacobs, Tony and Lucia Jacobs, Austin Hull, Alex Hull, and Zachary Hull; sister, Jean Wise; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jerry Hull, Cretta Hull, and Alan Turner.

Friends and family are invited to the visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 13, in Behm Funeral Home, 182 W. High Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, where a funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 14. Interment to follow at West Union Cemetery.
