Richard F. Daniels

Richard f. Daniels, 88, of McDonald, passed on Friday, March 17, 2023.

He was born November 1, 1935, in McDonald, a son of Rupert and Teresa Whalen Daniels.

Rich was a graduate of McDonald High School. He worked for the Pennsylvania American Water Company, retiring after 29 years. He then worked for Saint Isidore the Farmer Parish, Saint Alphonsus Church, where he maintained the church grounds.

Richard was a member of Saint Isidore the Farmer Parish. He enjoyed gardening, volunteering for Saint Vincent DePaul, the Montour Trail and many other local organizations.

On September 17, 1960, he married Helen Baldigowski, who survives.

Also surviving are four children, Michael, James (Pam) and Genevieve Daniels, and Wendy (Kevin) Garry; two sisters, Flavia Lucarina and Ruth Ann Gentile; 10 grandchildren: Corey, Connor, Mariah, Emily, Mathew, Jonathan, Erin, Riley, Ashley and Jamie; and one great-granddaughter, Delilah.

Deceased are seven brothers, Regis, Arthur, William, Paul, Carl, Leo and Edward Daniels; and two sisters, Mildred Cowden and Margaret Albertini.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2023, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, PA 15057.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 in Saint Isidore the Farmer Parish, Saint Alphonsus Church. 219 W. Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, PA 15057. Interment will follow at Robinson Run Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Saint Vincent DePaul in care of Saint Alphonsus Church, 219 W. Lincoln Avenue McDonald, PA 15057, or Gallagher Hospice 1370 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, PA 15017.
