Victor Church, 90, of Spraggs, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023, in Rolling Meadows Care Facility in Waynesburg. His wife of 64 years, Gail Moore Church, preceded him in death in 2015.

Victor was born May 25, 1932, to the late John F. Church and Grace Anderson Church.

He was a 1951 graduate of Clay-Battelle High School.

His work experience included garage mechanic, gas company employee, chemical plant worker, ironworker, and he retired from PennDOT after 37 years as a project engineer.

Victor enjoyed watching football and college softball and doing the crossword puzzle in the daily paper. He also liked feeding the hummingbirds in the summertime.

He was a member of the Scottish Rite of Masons and the Syria Shriners for 50 years. He was also a member of the Waynesburg Lodge #153 Free & Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, where he was a 32nd degree member. He was affiliated with the Spraggs Methodist Church.

Surviving are his son, Danny (Karen) Church of Wana, W.Va.; and two daughters, Donna (Tim) Tuttle of Wana, and Debra (Mark) Williams of Miracle Run, W.Va.; nine grandchildren, Kim (Scott) Sullivan, Keith Church, Todd (Pam) Foley, Shawn (Colleen) Tuttle, Beth (Eric) Jones, Tracey (Jay) Wade, Ashley (Greg) Hunt, Cody Tuttle and fiancee Nina Nyugen, and Adam Williams; along with 15 great-grandchildren, and four great-great- grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Velda Moore of Wadestown; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Bill, Howard, Ed and John Church; two sisters, Wilma Phillips and Loreen Kiger; and his daughter, Denise Church.

The family would like to express gratitude and appreciation for his care by his Amedysis caregivers, Misty, Hope, Melissa, Daniel, Erica and Kirsten; and the staff at Rolling Meadows, who cared for him including Amber, Beth and Wendell.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m., the time of a funeral service, Wednesday, March 29, with the Rev. Rose Saunders officiating, in Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, W.Va.
