Ronald Gasher
Ronald Gasher, 77, of Scenery Hill, Beallsville Borough, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023, in Allegheny General Hospital. He was surrounded by loved ones at the time of his passing.
He was born November 27, 1945, in Deemston Borough, a son of the late William J. and Marie Bronskole Gasher. Mr. Gasher was a 1963 graduate of Beth-Center High School.
He attended and completed Drafting School in Greensburg before accepting his first position working for Allegheny Engineering Company, a commercial HVAC sales company in McMurray. After 19 years with Allegheny he founded Ron-Air Sales Company Inc. to provide his services to the industry he so loved. Ron regarded the opportunity to serve each of his customers not only his life’s work, but an honor and one of his greatest joys. He served as the active president of the business for 41 years until the fall of 2022.
On November 10, 1967, he married Sandra Lee Fargo Gasher, who survives. Together they celebrated 55 years of marriage. They committed early in their lives to provide all they could to their three surviving children, Ronnie Gasher (Pam) of Venetia, Richie Gasher (Lauren) of Canonsburg and Wendy Ladisic (Jeff) of Venetia. Through the years, they built a foundation of memories with their children, of travel, love and laughter that they all still cherish.
Surviving, in addition to their children, are seven grandchildren: Emily, Ava, Coral, JR, Brooklynn, Ethan and Lincoln; and several nieces and nephews.
Ron loved golfing, planting his garden with his wife, Sandy (or “Sand” as he lovingly called her), and watching his battling “Buccos”. He always teased that this year was going to be THE year. He was a member of the New Eagle golf league and Nemacolin Country Club. Ron coached little league baseball at Coal Valley and loved watching his Panthers, Blue Jays and Mustangs from years’ past grow into men and women of whom he was proud. Deceased are: a brother, William Gasher; two sisters, Jane Crawford, and Rita Russell; and an infant brother, Jimmy Gasher.
Our family lost a light on May 11, 2023. May it shine now forever in our memories.
