William A. Klinzing, Jr.
William A. Klinzing, Jr., 87, of Prosperity, died Wednesday, October 4, 2023, in his home.
He was born December 31, 1935, in Corry, a son of the late William A., Sr. and Pauline Williams Klinzing.
Mr. Klinzing attended Corry Schools and went on to graduate from Bucknell University as a master arborist. He was an avid outdoorsman and was a member of the Washington Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He loved reading his bible and was devoted to his faith.
He worked as a corrections officer at SCI Fayette.
On October 26, 1962 he married Billie Mae McCready. Mrs. Klinzing died January 23, 2023.
Surviving are three sons, William A. Klinzing III. of Shinglehouse, Richard G. (Billie) Klinzing of Massillon, Ohio and Timothy A. (Betty) Klinzing of Prosperity; a brother, Larry Klinzing of Stow, Ohio; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Marian O’Dell and Nanette Howe.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the hour of services, on Saturday in the Washington Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 525 Fairway Street, Washington, PA 15301, with Phil Conklin and Jake Butcher officiating. All other services will be private.
