Kay Louise Fenton Schumacher
Kay Louise Fenton Schumacher, 81, died Wednesday, September 27, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Kay was born January 17, 1942, in Pittsburgh, to Randall Nash and Evelyn Belle Reese Fenton.
She attended Thomas A. Edison High School and Hillcrest Medical Center School of Nursing in Tulsa, Okla. She later graduated from Rochester (Minnesota) Community College with an Associate of Arts degree.
Kay lived in Rochester from 1987 until 2021 and worked as a Registered Nurse at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Marys Campus from 1988 until 2008. In 2021, she moved to Arvada, Colo., to be closer to family.
She loved to research her ancestry and found many family members in the Burgettstown area. Her beautiful beaming smile will be missed by all who knew her.
Kay is survived by her sister, Nancy Fenton of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; and four children, Debra Dandan of Southaven, Miss., Paul (Lisa) Schumacher of Potomac, Md., James (Jennifer) Schumacher of Golden, Colo., and Lisa (Forrest) Stover of Mesa, Ariz. She is also survived by a wonderful group of grandchildren, Emilie (Dawson), Joseph, Andrew (Alexis), Bryce, Vivienne, and Dalia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Joann Fenton.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 21, at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery in Burgettstown.
