Linda C. Workman

Linda C. Workman, 78, of Carmichaels, died Thursday, October 12, 2023, peacefully, in her home, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born August 18, 1945, in Franklin Township, Greene County, a daughter of the late Ray E. and Elizabeth Davis.
Linda was a 1963 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School.
On November 4, 1966, she married the late Merle W. Swartz of Clay Center, Ohio. They celebrated 25 years of marriage prior to his passing in 1991.
Together they had four children, all surviving: Janet (Ron) Domonkos, Renea (Steve) Oberhaus of Toledo, Ohio, Pamela (Lew Zientek) Swartz of Carmichaels, and Becky Stahl of Rossford, Ohio.
She had worked as a direct care person at the Lutheran Home of Mercy in Williston, Ohio for 14 years.
She was Presbyterian by faith. She enjoyed cross stitching, word puzzles, and walking. She also enjoyed time with family.
On May 7, 1993 she married Harry A. “Hank” Workman, who survives, and gained three stepchildren, surviving: Tina White, Patricia (Robert) Patton of Carmichaels, deceased: Harry “Hanky” Workman (Judith) Workman of Carmichaels.
She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Diana Hixon of Ruff Creek, Raymond “Tucker” Davis of Carmichaels, Charles (Michele) Davis of Carmichaels, and Dawna (Solomon) Chambers of Wellsburg, W.Va.; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by great-grandson, Liam.
Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, October 15, in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor. Additional visitation and funeral services will be held from 9 until 12 noon, the hour of services, Tuesday, October 17, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West Street, Genoa, OH 43430.
Interment will follow in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa.
