Martha R. Smith
Martha R. Smith, 91, of Washington, died Sunday, October 8, 2023, in the Donnell House, Washington.
She was born February 22, 1932, in Marianna, a daughter of the late Demas L. and Hilda Whitfield Post.
A graduate of West Bethlehem High School, she was a homemaker and was employed as a van driver for the Washington Area Senior Center for over 20 years.
She was a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church. She was also a dedicated volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
On June 7, 1953, Martha married Joseph M. Smith, who died September 28, 2010.
Surviving are two children, Bruce E. Smith (Jacqueline) of Valencia, and Scott A. Smith/Rory Lockwood (Wes) of Corrales, N.M.; and two grandchildren, Joshua Marc Smith, and Jennie Christina Smith.
Martha was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Robert Post; and a sister, Jean C. Mankey.
At the request of the deceased, all services were private and entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
