Jeanette Groff Steffick, 81, of McMurray, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at UPMC – Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born on January 13, 1942, in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Eleanor Rapp Groff.
Jeanette graduated from Penn State University in 1963 and was an avid Penn State football fan. On April 8, 1967, she married John Steffick, and together they raised two daughters.
Jeanette enjoyed crocheting and sewing, Mah Jong and water aerobics. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels for many years, and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, John Steffick; two daughters, Diane Steffick of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Laura (Tom) McNally of Richmond, Va., and two granddaughters, Anna and Ellie McNally. Also surviving are two brothers, Edward (Peggy) Groff and Charles (Susan) Groff; sister-in-law, Susan Groff; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Jeanette is predeceased by her brother, David Groff.
Burial service will be privately held at the Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
