Ruth A. Campbell
Ruth A. Campbell, 96, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
Ruth was born January 22, 1927, to the late A. Lee Arnold and Bessie Arnold.
She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1944, and married James Campbell, Jr. April 21, 1945, who preceded her in death July 29, 2007.
Ruth was a homemaker and she and James owned and operated Clarksville Sports Shop for many years.
She was an avid bowler and bowled until a few years ago. She enjoyed ceramics until her vision began to fail. She also loved going to Tionesta for deer season.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her three siblings, Roberta Taylor, Betty Greenlee and Donald Arnold, Sr.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, John Greenlee, Bob (Natalie) Greenlee, Dale Morton, Donald (Julie) Arnold, Jr., and Diana Morton, all of Clarksville, Jean (Jim) Journic of Rices Landing, and Donna Moredock of Springboro, Ohio; special niece, Kristen (Mike) Ozohonish and their children, Gunnar, Kennedy, Charlotte and Lincoln; and many more nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 27, in Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 28. Interment to follow at Greene County Memorial Park.
