Linda L. Gough Bird

Linda L. Gough Bird, 80, of Washington, died Friday, October 27, 2023 in the Washington Hospital.

She was born January 12, 1943 in Washington, a daughter of the Late Norton G. and Rachel L. Rush Gough.

Linda was a 1963 graduate of Washington High School and worked for the maintenance department of the RCA Company until its closure. She retired from the Tower Restaurant in 1990.

She enjoyed crafting, reading and playing BINGO. She was a member of the Washington Moose Lodge #22.

On October 29, 1966 in Washington she married Harry D. Bird, Jr., who died October 7, 2010.

Surviving are two sons, David W. Bird of Washington and Michael G. (Susan) Bird of Beaver Falls; a daughter, Kimberly S. Pinkerton of Washington; a step-daughter Kathleen A. (James) Bedillion of North Carolina; a half-sister, Debra A. Cochran of Canonsburg; eight grandchildren, Aubrey, Kyle, Farrah, Joshua, Johnathan, Jimmy, Hannah and Haelinn; a step-grandson, Chase; and two great-grandchildren, Lydia and Oliver and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are a daughter, Jodi L. Shelton; a sister, Martha M. Grimm; and a son-in-law, Ronald L. Pinkerton.

Friends will be received Monday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at noon Tuesday, October 31, 2023 with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating.
