Margaret Jean Schultz
Margaret Jean Schultz, 91, of Canonsburg, died Sunday, August 27, 2023.
She was born June 7, 1932, a daughter of Oswald and Lavonia Elaine Flowers.
On June 23, 1956, Margaret married the love of her life, Donald Schultz.
Margaret worked as a merchant teller for Mellon Bank.
She was a member of the women’s Moose and White Eagle, and Eagles Club, Canonsburg and Chartiers Senior Centers for many years. She enjoyed bowling, cooking and most of all going to bingo. She will be remembered for hosting the picnics that everyone loved.
Margaret is survived by two sons, Mark (Cheryl) Schultz of Washington, Bernard Schultz of Canonsburg; daughter, Diane (James) Dufresne of Houston; 10 grandchildren, Valerie (Jason) Hutson, Greg (Shelby) Schultz, Jason (Heather) Schultz, Stacy (Andrew) Payne, Amy (Erek) Bellan, Parker Schultz, Kari (John) Carroll, Kelli (Kyle) Toms, James Dufresne, Jr., Danielle (Doug) Long; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Yenchik, Dorothy Matyuf and Joan Galbraith.
A celebration of life will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, at Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD., Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000. A service will follow at 6, in the funeral home.
