The family of Francis Edward “Frank” Pazzynski is sad to announce his passing on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

Frank was born on December 2, 1947, in Pittsburgh, to Francis Edward and Ann Onyshko Pazzynski.

Frank attended Oliver High School in Pittsburgh and earned his BA from West Liberty University. He earned an MA at West Virginia University and pursued doctoral studies at West Virginia University in Curriculum and Instruction / Science Education.

In his decades as a college professor in the Education Department at Waynesburg University, Frank was passionate about passing on his love of learning and teaching to his students.

Frank and his wife, Lisa Wehrle Pazzynski (married on July 31, 1993), were a popular local music duo.

Frank was part of the worship team at First Presbyterian Church in Waynesburg and served at the 2nd Sam 9 ministry.

Surviving are his wife, Lisa; two children, Brenna Haggerty and Addie Pazzynski; two grandchildren, Isaiah Kraf and Ada Mora-Pazzynski; and two sisters, Tyna Pazzynski Kaltenbaugh and Janet Pazzynski.

A memorial service will be planned for this autumn.
