Sheila Joyce Andrews Finley
Sheila Joyce Andrews Finley, 75, of Washington, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023, in St. Clair Hospital, surrounded by loved ones.
She was born September 19, 1947, in Washington, and grew up in West Middletown. She was a daughter of the late Lester and Mary Andrews.
Sheila was a people person with Christian values, had a heart of gold, and would do anything for anybody. She loved her dog, Foxy. She loved spending time with family, and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. Sheila enjoyed traveling with family and friends, and meeting new people, flea markets and thrift shopping, gifting people with her finds, playing the lottery, and listening to the group BTS.
Sheila was a sergeant in the Air Force, stationed at Loring AFB, Limestone, Maine. She worked as a personnel specialist for 42nd Combat Support.
She retired from Alorica, working in Account Management/Customer Service.
Surviving are three daughters, Heather (Bob) Finley-Salansky of Burgettstown, Jessica Finley of Claysville, and Janelle (Bruce) Stefan of McDonald; former husband, Michael Owen Finley of Easton, Md.; a sister, Leslie (Bill) McConnell of Prosperity; a brother, Kevin (Kim) Andrews of West Middletown; five grandchildren, Mercedes Rood, Elizabeth and Brianna Stefan, Brooke and Brady Moore; one great- grandchild, Westyn Cole; two nephews, Justin and Cody McConnell; two nieces, Tiffany Johnson and Amber Rush; as well as many great-nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a nephew, Ryan McConnell.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 19, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, where full military honors will be accorded by the United States Air Force and Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion.
