Domenica “Dee” Petrillo Chaussard, 98, of Winter Garden, Fla., peacefully passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023, with family by her side.

Dee was born March 29, 1925, in Van Voorhis, and relocated to South Fayette Township, where she lived until relocating to Winter Garden in 1992.

Dee was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Gene the Barber” Chaussard; her son, Gene Allen Chaussard; her parents, Gaetano “Guy” and Ann Petrillo; sister, Rebecca “Becky” Heflin; and brother, Frank Petrillo.

She is survived by her children, Ronald (Sandy) of Napa, Calif., Michelle (Mike) Kelly of Winter Garden, Rick (Sara) of South Fayette Township, and David (Denise) of Charlotte, N.C.; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Domenic (Babe) Petrillo of South Fayette Township; and many nieces and nephews.

Before her career as a Mom, Dee worked for General Electric Company and Patty Petite Cookies later in life.

She enjoyed card games, word searches, and crocheting. Dee donated many crochet blankets to the NICU of Winnie Palmer Hospital, Orlando, Fla. She loved her family, friends, and caregivers.

Burial is private.

A memorial service, in her honor, will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, September 30, in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
