Sally C. Temple
Sally C. Temple, 67, of Waynesburg, passed away at 11:08 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2023, in Washington Health System Greene in Waynesburg. Sally was born February 19, 1956, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Isaac N. Cumberledge and Thelma J. Morris Cumberledge.
Sally spent her entire life in Greene County. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Waynesburg.
For 4 years she worked for the Central Greene School District as a janitor’s helper, and then for 25 years she worked in the dietary department at Greene County Memorial Hospital as an aid and cook.
Her husband, Clarence “Shearl” Temple, whom she married September 20, 1975, died July 21, 2012.
Surviving are one son, Jason (Stacey) Temple of Waynesburg; four grandchildren, Xander, Kylie, Isaac and Joslyn; and her longtime care provider, Christine Toland; one sister, Lori Ann Cumberledge of Waynesburg; and one niece, Jackie Carnes of Waynesburg.
Deceased is one sister, Kimberly VanMeter.
The family wishes to thank all of her healthcare providers for their constant care and companionship over all of these years, which helped add to her quality of life.
Visitation and services are to be private and held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville.
